Let's Get Moving With Cardio Tennis!
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is revolutionizing the way we think about tennis with its new initiative to make the sport more accessible to all. By introducing programs like Red Ball Tennis, the USTA is bringing new excitement to tennis, making it easier for newcomers to engage with the game. The USTA's initiative focuses on creating beginner-friendly environments and ensuring that tennis is a sport for all ages and skill levels.
Red Ball Tennis is a modified form of tennis designed to make the sport more accessible and enjoyable, especially for beginners and younger players. Using smaller courts, lower nets, and slower-moving balls, Red Ball Tennis makes it easier to learn the game and improve skills quickly. It's all about having fun while mastering the fundamentals of tennis
To play Red Ball Tennis, you'll need some modified equipment that is perfectly suited to younger or novice players:
Smaller Court: A Red Ball Tennis court measures 36 feet by 18 feet, making it easier to cover ground and keep the rally going (*available indoors).
23" Racquet: The smaller racquet is designed for players to have better control and easier handling.
Slower, Tennis Balls: These balls move at a slower speed and have a lower bounce, making them perfect for learning the game and building confidence.
At T.R.I.N.I.T.Y., we are passionate about making tennis accessible to everyone in our community, and Red Ball Tennis is a key part of that mission. We’ve developed several initiatives to bring this exciting version of tennis to both youth and adults
